| Description |
|
| |
Wright International Ltd is honoured to offer this partly converted former ice class twin screw tug. The owner of this vessel shares the same opinion and enthusiasm as ourselves in looking for a solid sea going ocean cruiser as apposed to more modern lightweight ships which cannot handle the conditions of the real world. The owner has currently spent in excess of 1 million Euros in the conversion and is willing to assist the new owners in completing the refurbishment. With approximately 70m2 aft deck space, this would be ideal for those essential toys or perhaps dive equipment for the serious adventurer. What is without doubt the main selling feature of this ship is that there is simply nothing like it available today. If you are genuinely interested in a transatlantic ship that can sail in any weather, then this is the one for you.

As this ship is being refurbished for serious passage making adventures, it is essential that you have the power, reliability and economic cruising consumption that you can rely on. This expedition yacht is fitted with possibly the most reliable engines available.
This expedition yacht is powered by twin Lister Blackstone ER6MGR3-3378HK –RED3-1 producing 350hp each at only 750rpm. Being slow revving engines, this unique yacht will only consume a maximum of 60 litres per hour under heavy load.
This still gives a maximum speed of 13 knots and a cruising speed of 9 -11 knots.
There are also 2 new Perkins 45kw 220v V3 phase 1000 series generators onboard.

This expedition yacht was originally launched in 1964 by AS Westermoen Batbyggeri & Mek Mandal in Norway as an ice class tug servicing the waters of Norway. Now the ship has a steel hull and aluminium bridge and is currently undergoing re-classification. This yacht will soon be in Rina classification and also MCA classification.
The ship has a GRT of 184 and NT of 52. |

| Accommodation |
|
| |
Conversion of this tug is underway to launch this ship as an expedition yacht with 4 en-suite guest cabins, the captain’s cabin and a 4 berth crew cabin. These cabins are all being finished to a very high standard with telephone, TV, DVD and music system in each cabin.
The owners have also separated the crew’s galley and mess area with the intention of using this yacht for charter operations throughout the world. As the conversion is still to be completed, there is still time for you to change the design if required. |
