If you want a place in the sun but can't afford a house in France, this could be what you are looking for.
It's an ideal first weekend / week away boat for the family.
This boat is unusual in that it has lots of space for a family of four because of it's caravan like construction.
There is plenty of storage space and the seating area at the rear can comfortably seat 6 people.
It's moored in the picturesque town of St Jean De Losne, near Dijon in Burgundy. The site is secure and has electricity and water with a shower block and Laundry facilities on site.
It has a double bed to the front.
Galley in the mid sction.
Toilet compartment with marine toilet.
Indoor seating / eating area for 4.
The rear cockpit / seating area has seating for 6.
It's being sold with

3 Way fridge
Microwave Oven
Electric Kettle
Electric Fans
All Cooking Utensils
Tableware / Glassware for 4 people
Satellite TV set up for UK TV
All you need is your bed linen and clothes.

The running costs are around the same as a small car.
We pay 83 Euros a month for the pontoon and electricity and and water. The vignette or licence for the river varies depending on how you use it. For a full season it's about 120 Euros. Insurance is under 200 euros a year and I use about 15 euros of petrol a week for excursions.

TARPON 42 RECLA BUILT 1991 ,used as a hire boat till approx 2000 then sold to private owner, he started the refit/upgrade of this boat by replacing the engine gearbox ,drive shaft and propeller. the engine is a 165 hp 6 cylinder sole diesel. this has proved to be very reliable and economic unit, giving lots of power when needed but still returning good economy on rivers and canals. the rest of the interior of the boat has been changed from the concept of hire fleets,(get as many people in as possible, 12) to the present design, confort and space for the owner and visiting friends. so this boat now has one grand cabin with walk around double bed, fitted wardrobes and cupboards on each side, second smaller guest cabin, and pull out double bed in grand salon area. there is a fully fitted kitchen/dining area at the front of the boat .seperate bathroom with toilet (masserator) shower and hand wash basin. |

We have added some extra comforts to this Shetland classic to extend your days on the water. We have made her self sufficient to operate in the quiet rural areas of France’s canals and picturesque rivers, but she feels just at home in a marina moored with any craft.
The original battery circuit is left intact. This starts the engine, run the CD player, the Navigation lights, spot lights, internal lights and 12Volt socket on cockpit
The new addition of two solar panels allows the separate leisure battery to run the fridge, shower pumps and 12 volt auxiliary socket.
