Twin six cylinder Volvo TMD 41 d marine diesels, naturally aspirated with heat exchangers. Low hours (about 1600 each). Combined performance at 272 H.P. Will cruise in canal conditions on one engine at 5 kts at about 4 litres per hour. Generator driven by water cooled Mitsubishi 2 cylinder diesel.
There is a Vetus 24 volt bow thruster and a Side-power stern thruster for easy manoeuvering in restricted spaces.
Hull constructed in 6mm steel , epoxy coated and painted in 2 pack . 2 large box section keels to protect propellors and rudders from grounding. Upper works in 4 mm steel and sea rails in polished stainless steel. Anchor chain locker with drain faired into bow decking with a vetus windlass.
Free-standing lockers with upholstered seats on top in grp on the aft deck.
Single 300 Gallon fuel tank. Freshwater tank in stainless and blackwater tank with macerator pump.
Window frames in rust proof anodised aluminium. Stainless steel radar arch on hdraulic rams carries communication array ( digital aerial, VHF ship to shore aerial, mooring lights.) and is simply folded for bridge clearance . Canvas hood over aft deck carried on lightweight anodised frame. Toughened safety glass is used throughout and front windscreens and cockpit side screens fold flat for acces to very restricted height areas.
There are large tiltable perspex fresh air vents in saloon and galley, opening windows in all cabins and shower room and a vented extractor fan above the ceramic hob.
Wash basins in the front and rear toilet compartments are ceramic fitted to vanity units with shelving and doors. The galley has a stainless steel sink and drainer opposite the folding table.
Three cabins configured as fore and aft with king sized walk round bed to stern , central area with saloon and galley on to levels , and a bow cabin with three large off-set bunks. Massive storage throughout makes her very suitable as a live aboard long-range cruiser. Hot water is supplied by a calorifier or immersion heater and a high pressure pump is installed to facilitate the shower.
The interior cabinet work is bright and airy with a mixture of teak and light oak. The seating has all just been re-upholstered in 2018 with a specialist fabric.
