Erebus is a historic boat built c1890 as an Iron riveted 'gang of men or horse drawn' icebreaker for use on the Ashby canal. Believed to be one of four similar craft built.
It was converted to a motorboat in 1979 at Gas Street By Bill Brooks, originally fitted by him a wooden cabin which was later replaced in 1995 with a steel top.
